What caregiving services do you provide?
We provide non-medical home care services
What credentials do your caregivers have?
To join our team, caregivers must pass a comprehensive background check including providing references, have prior work experience in a health care or home care setting, and be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). But just as important, they must share our values and be committed to providing excellent service.
How is a caregiver assigned?
When assigning caregivers, we take into consideration your needs, schedule requirements and "personality fit." In the rare instance that a caregiver is not the right fit, you can request a different caregiver at any time.
What is included in "light housekeeping"?
Our caregivers are here to help our clients manage their day-to-day tasks, to include tidying of immediate living areas, washing dishes that were used, laundry, etc.
If you need cleaning services, we are happy to refer you to a cleaning service.
Safe Environment
We have pets in the home. Is that OK?
We understand that pets are part of your family, too. We will make every effort to assign a caregiver who is comfortable in a household with pets. Pets must be well-behaved and able to be secured as needed.
Our caregivers may assist the client with feeding their pet as part of assisting with light household tasks, but we are not pet care providers.
At times, such as when visiting nurses or other vendors come to the home, they or we may require pets to be secured (in a kennel or room) for a period of time.
While we love pets, too, please be aware that our care givers are not pet sitters and cannot care for your pets for you. We are happy to recommend qualified pet care professionals to assist if you need specific care for your pets.
What is your duty to report?
As a home care services provider, we are considerd "mandatory reporters" according to Virginia law (Va. Code § 63.2-1606). We will immediately report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation of elderly or incapacitated adults to the state or local department of social services within 24 hours.
